Tales of Daring Adventure
My Tales of Daring Adventure series takes place in a world very much like ours, but with a few fantastic and heroic twists. You’ll find stories of real people with real-world problems and challenges who are suddenly faced with dangers they never imagined and have to embark on adventures that push them to their limits… mind, body, and soul.
Alternate universes.
Imaginary realms.
Fantastic creatures.
Cyborgs.
Heroes and villains with supernormal abilities.
Dark magic and high technology.
Simply put: a place where science-fiction, fantasy, and the real world come together to create thrilling adventures full of heroism, heart, and even a touch of humor here and there.
Tales of Daring Adventure is not a series in the conventional sense. It’s more of an interconnected universe, where the events of one story have an impact on another, or the characters from one book might make a cameo appearance in another.
Most of the series takes place in a city called Riverbend, Illinois… so named because it is situated along a bend in the Mississippi river, deep in the heart of the Midwest (much like where I actually live). The Riverbend area is a mostly working-class community where regular people lead normal lives (also much like where I live). It’s also a place where the barrier between the real and the fantastic is rather thin (quite unlike where I live).
My goal with this series is to both entertain and inspire.
Imagine going to a Saturday matinee to see the latest action blockbuster with a packed house. Everyone laughs at the funny quips, gets choked up at the sentimental moments, and cheers when the hero stands up to evil.
That’s the vibe I’m shooting for with my books.
I also include positive messages throughout my stories. Staying strong in the face of adversity. Overcoming the mistakes of the past. Being the hero that you know you really are.
